Jaroslava Ševčíková

Jaroslava Ševčíková, PhD – is a researcher at the Institute of Education, Faculty
of Education, Palacký University in Olomouc. She graduated from Palacký Univer
sity in Olomouc, Czech Republic. Her professional focus lies in school and general
didactics, the development of teachers’ professional beliefs, and the cultivation of
teacher autonomy, as well as student autonomy and well-being in learning. Along
side her academic work, she is an active secondary school teacher. She has been
awarded the highest distinction of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of
the Czech Republic for outstanding pedagogical work.
