Abstrakt

In this article, the authors analyse generational differences in preferences regarding rights and freedoms in Poland, taking into account the role of education in shaping civic awareness. The study was conducted using online interviews with a sample of 1,000 respondents, with each generational group (Z, Y, X, and Baby Boomers) comprising 250 individuals. The key research question addresses the most important economic, social, and cultural rights and freedoms for each generation and the influence of demographic factors on their choices. The findings of the analysis indicate that generational affiliation significantly differentiates preferences regarding rights, particularly in the case of Generation Z, which stands out in comparison to Generations X and the Baby Boomers. Younger generations more frequently indicated the right to health care and the right to education. The analysis also shows that gender and education had little effect on preferences, while the size of the place of residence was a statistically insignificant factor. This work provides a new perspective on the importance of education in the generational context, demonstrating how different social groups perceive rights and freedoms.
